WHITE MESA PUBLIC WORKS CENTER PROJECT (6124822)

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

 

Sealed Bids for the construction of the White Mesa Public Works Center Project (6124822) will be received, by Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, at the office of the Engineer: Souder, Miller & Associates, 401 West Broadway, Farmington, NM 87401, until 11:00 AM local time on June 28, 2017, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read at 2:00 PM at San Juan College School of Energy’s Merrion Room (5301 College Blvd, Farmington, NM 87402).  The Project consists of removing existing concrete slabs and bollards.  It includes construction of a new 6,000 square foot public works center and associated plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, sidewalks, and bollards.  Construction of two (2) new storm inlets and 122 feet of 20”x28.5” Arch RCP transmission line.  Altering electrical system from overhead electrical to underground electrical and connecting to new building.  Install two (2) new 4” waterlines from the public works building to existing well plumbing and installing a new 6” sewer line and connecting to existing sewer line with appropriate cleanouts and fixtures.  It also includes cut and fill to specified grade and surfaced with 6” aggregate base course and 3” asphalt pavement for parking spaces to include marking of parking stalls.  Bids will be received for a single prime Contract.  Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.

Bidding Documents also may be examined at: Souder, Miller & Associates, 529 25 ½ Road, Suite B-101, Grand Junction, CO 81505, 970-243-6067; or viewed and ordered online by registering with the Issuing Office at online at www.soudermiller.com.

Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of $100.00 for each set.  Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to Ute Mountain Ute Tribe.  Upon request and receipt of the document payment indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service.  The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder.  The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.  Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.  Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

Bidding Documents may be viewed and ordered online by registering with the Issuing Office at www.soudermiller.com: go to Bids, create a onetime account or login, then submit a request for access to the project files.  Following registration, complete sets of Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the Issuing Office’s website as “zipped” portable document format (PDF) files. The cost of printed Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office will depend on the number and size of the Drawings and Project Manual, applicable taxes, and shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. Cost of Bidding Documents and shipping is non-refundable.  Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen.  The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.  Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.

 

Indian Preference shall apply to this Project per Ute Mountain Ute Tribe – Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO).

 

A pre-bid conference will be held at 1:00 PM local time on June 7, 2017 at the White Mesa Community Center, 19 S. Willow St., White Mesa, Utah.  Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.  Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
