SMA has consistently delivered high-quality environmental compliance services tailored to the changing needs of New Mexico mining facilities. Recent market volatility has meant less available resources to maintain environmental compliance. SMA has continued to facilitate compliance by adapting our services to provide compliance with an eye toward economics. Where possible, SMA will work with regulators to minimize the sampling burdens demanded by permits constructed without base data. Often times, regulators are required to initially operate with limited knowledge of actual site conditions and after sufficient data is collected will consent to review of requirements reflecting the now known situation.
The SMA staff is accustomed to the challenges of mine closures and reclamation.
