Souder,
Miller & Associates (SMA) has completed SPCC Plans for all sizes and types of facilities, from
gas stations and bulk distribution plants to petroleum storage areas adjacent to
heavy manufacturing facilities. The SMA staff is trained and ready to provide
SPCC Plans in compliance with the new 2002 regulations (Title 40 of the Code of
Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 112 (Oil Pollution Prevention). Each SPCC Plan includes an evaluation of
containment structures, site security measures, and loading and unloading
procedures. An SPCC Plan also outlines required facility inspections, personnel
training, and cleanup procedures. In developing these items, an SMA professional
engineer works closely with the management of the facility to ensure that a
thorough evaluation is made and that simplified procedures are developed.
