SPACEPORT AMERICA
SMA has worked on 8 of the several contracts at the America’s First Spaceport located approximately 30 miles east and south of Truth or Consequences, NM. Our work consisted of staking over 3 miles of sanitary sewer, waterlines, electric lines, the 10,000 foot long concrete runway with 3 taxiways and stubs for the future east-west runway and taxiway. We also have the contracts for the Apron and storm drainage, the Terminal Hangar Facility civil staking and the Air Rescue and Fire Fighting facility and access road to the runway. We will be working with archaeologists to establish and densify the control at 14 various sites on the Spaceport properties for mapping purposes. El Camino Real or “The Royal Road” crosses Spaceport property and many historical sites are present.
