Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of the La Asociación de Agua de Los Brazos MDWCA Water System Improvements will be received by La Asociación de Agua de Los Brazos MDWCA, Attn: Cleo Valdez  at Chama Valley School Transportation Department, State Road 162, Building No. 2210, Tierra Amarilla, NM 87575 until 1:00 p.m. (Local Time), Thursday, March 26, 2020, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. If a BID is sent by mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope containing the Bid shall be enclosed in a separate package plainly marked on the outside with the notation “BID ENCLOSED for La Asociación de Agua de Los Brazos MDWCA Water System Improvements.” They should be mailed to the following address: Escalante Mid High School, P.O. Box 157, State Road 531, Building 1158A, Tierra Amarilla, NM 87575.

 Project Description:  This project consists of the replacement of the existing booster pump skid with a new duplex booster pump skid unit including pressure tank and related appurtenances; replacement of pump house electrical; replacement of existing exterior door with new double wide exterior door; and installation of approximately 15 linear feet (LF) of 2” waterline for temporary bypass pumping. There are two additive bid alternates: Bid Alt 1 includes shock chlorinating and brush/swab the Los Ojos Well #2 to clean the algae from the well and testing the well for Bacteria and E. Coli to ensure successful disinfection; and Bid Alt 2 includes installing a permanent curb stop with a curb box during the bypass pumping installation.

Copies of the Bidding Documents in electronic media format may be obtained at the website of the ENGINEER, Souder, Miller & Associates, at www.soudermiller.com, at no cost.  Bidders are responsible for monitoring the website referenced above for notifications of changes and addenda related to this project.

 Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained at the office of the ENGINEER, Souder, Miller & Associates, 2904 Rodeo Park Drive East Bldg. 100, Santa Fe, NM 87505, upon payment of $100.00 for each set.  Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to the Owner, identified above.  Any BIDDER, upon returning the Bidding Documents in good and complete condition within 30 calendar days of bid opening, will be refunded $100.00.

 Resident Contractor and Resident Veteran Contractor Preferences shall apply to this Project per Section 13-1-21 NMSA 1978 (as amended).

 A RECOMMENDED PRE-BID MEETING will be held at Chama Valley School Transportation Department, State Road 162, Building No. 2210, Tierra Amarilla, NM 87575 on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.
