Since joining SMA, I have grown tremendously in my career through the opportunities that have been made available. I have gained experience coordinating construction projects, assisting with design projects ranging from residential subdivisions, solid waste facilities geotechnical investigations/rehabilitations, hydraulic and hydrology studies for master-planned communities. I also participate in marketing activities, representing SMA at conferences and public events. One of SMA's most valuable attributes is that the leadership within the company sees the potential in their employees early in their career and invests in their future.

I began my career at SMA as an intern within the GIS group not knowing exactly how long I would work for the company or what my career path within the company would be. Within the first year, I transitioned into being a full-time staff member of the Geomatics (survey) technical sector, and after five years, I am now a Project Manager, licensed Professional Surveyor, and certified GIS Professional within Geomatics. SMA invested in me professionally not only on the job but also to further my education to pursue licensure in surveying. Working at SMA has given me many opportunities over a very short period that I did not expect to have upon first being hired.
