Drilling Deep for Clean Drinking Water
SMA is currently drilling a deep well to provide water for the Smith Lake Chapter of the Navajo Nation. SMA geologists and engineers have been working long hours to log, test, and complete the new Smith Lake Chapter water well. The original design called for a 2000’ well. Initial testing of the targeted aquifer zones did not yield positive results, so drilling continued to deeper targets. The total depth is currently over 4000’.
