Souder, Miller & Associates Awarded A&E Contract at NASA Test Facility

(Las Cruces, New Mexico) – Jacobs Technology Inc., has awarded Souder, Miller and Associates (SMA) a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) to perform comprehensive architecture and engineering (A&E) services at the NASA White Sands Test Facility (WSTF) located near Las Cruces, NM. Jacobs was awarded the Test Evaluation and Support Team 2 contract by NASA in May of 2016 with a maximum value of $400 million through April, 2021.
The A&E BPA has a maximum value of $2.5 million through April, 2021, including a one-year base period and two one-year options. Potential tasks include structural design, foundation design, roadway and parking lot design, site development of underground utilities, computer network analysis, water and wastewater design, drainage and hydrological studies, and expert witness services.
Karl E. Tonander, P.G., P.E., C.P.G., will serve as SMA’s principal officer on the BPA and is looking forward to helping Jacobs support NASA WSTF’s critical mission of sustaining and advancing human space flight capabilities. “Our Las Cruces office has been on the doorstep of NASA and White Sands for more than 20 years and we have been privileged to provide a variety of services in the past,” said Tonander. “The opportunity now afforded by Jacobs will allow SMA to more actively provide our local resources and experience to benefit the NASA community.”
