SMA provides air quality modeling, permitting, and monitoring services. SMA staff uses pilot scale tests, field screening, and laboratory analysis methods to determine anticipated effluent levels, modeling the predicted output and plume migration of the effluent. This analysis is often used to design and/or modify the control equipment at the site to reduce the levels emitted. We also perform indoor air quality surveys to evaluate indoor air contaminants such as asbestos, mold, and toxic volatile chemicals. Types of air quality permitting and testing include Air Pollutant Emission Notice (APEN), U.S. EPA Title V, and CDPHE Air Pollution Control Division (APCD) Tier II and Tier III.
