SMA’s project team provides computer network analysis for infrastructure systems, including water, wastewater, and gas. Our team has considerable experience with a variety of systems and components, including I&C and SCADA systems. Past Experience

Agua Sana WUA
Arsenic Treatment Project

SMA completed the planning, design and construction phase services for this project that included installation of an arsenic treatment facility pre-installed in an International Standards Organization (ISO) container, site work, electrical connection and piping necessary to incorporate the treatment system into the existing water system.

La Luz MDWCA & MSWA
Water Treatment Plant

SMA completed a PER and ER that outlined the needs for a new Water Treatment Plant and replacement of existing undersized waterlines. The Association used the PER and ER to secure $4 million in USDA and Colonias funding. SMA also performed surveying and construction observation services for the project.

Dona Ana MDWCA District 5
Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements

SMA completed engineering design, surveying and bid phase services and is currently providing construction phase services for the Association’s District 5 WWTP. The construction includes both the rehabilitation of existing facilities and entirely new project elements. The project includes yard piping, secondary treatment improvements, tertiary improvements including a new clarifier, sludge dewatering, reuse pumping plan, walkways and railing, plant water and air systems, demolition plan and appropriate appurtenances and structures.

Berrendo CWUA
Drinking Water System Improvements

SMA performed all planning, design, construction administration, construction observation, construction staking and completed the funding closeout documents, Operation and Maintenance Manuals and record drawings associated with the installation of approximately nine miles of 12-inch distribution waterline, new 1,200-gpm water well with chlorination system, new welded steel 1,650,000-gallon water storage tank and all appurtenances for the Association.
